Talha Qureshi, MD
Dr. Talha M. Qureshi joined Rockford Gastroenterology Associates in 2022. He graduated with highest honors in Biochemistry from his undergraduate studies at Illinois Institute of Technology. He then went on to complete his medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL. He trained for six years at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX to complete his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology. Dr. Qureshi is well trained in a broad discipline of gastroenterology. Dr. Qureshi is board certified in Gastroenterology and has special interests in esophageal diseases, anorectal disorders including hemorrhoid treatment, and colorectal cancer prevention.
During his training, he published numerous studies in peer reviewed journals and presented at multiple national meetings. He continues to be dedicated towards improving patient care and educating all his patients. As a gastroenterology fellow, he received distinguished national awards including the Golden Scope award from ASGE and EndoTitan award from ACG. He was also selected in the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his compassionate care towards his patients. Dr. Qureshi is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association.
Dr. Qureshi is an active member of the medical staff at UW Health Swedish American Hospital and OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center.
