Nabil Baddour, DO, MPH
Dr. Nabil D. Baddour is a board certified gastroenterologist who joined Rockford Gastroenterology Associates, Ltd in 2021. He completed his undergraduate studies at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he also earned his Master of Public Health (MPH) with a focus in both international health and nutrition policy.
His career in public health spanned efforts in Geneva, Switzerland where he worked on large-scale refugee health initiatives, to New Orleans, LA where he worked with the CDC and the Health Department to address epidemic level environmental health hazards in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Dr. Baddour went on to complete his medical degree at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He returned to Tulane University to complete his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, receiving numerous accolades during his training, including awards for practice-based scholarship and nominations as Fellow of the Year.
Dr. Baddour is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Baddour is an active member of the medical staff at UW Health Swedish American Hospital and OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford.
